- The Ministry of Industry has stated its readiness to roll out various incentives that specifically relate to the restructuring of production machinery and equipment (collectively referred to as the "Restructuring Program") for use by the food and beverage ("F&B") industry in an effort to enhance the contributions that this sector of the economy makes to the state.
- The Ministry of Industry has now decided to expand the scope of the Restructuring Program to the F&B industry in response to the achievements of this program within other sectors of the economy, including the wood processing and furniture industries, both of which have seen their competitiveness and sectoral incomes increase after rolling out the restructuring program for production machinery and equipment back in 2022 witnh a total programme budget of Rp. 10 billion.
- Furthermore, a representative from the Agro Industry, Putu Juli Ardika, has stated that the Ministry of Industry has allocated a budget of Rp. 20 billion for 2024 in order to implement the Restructuring Program within the F&B industry in an effort to improve its competitiveness, productivity and energy efficiency. This budget will be provided by the government to industry players operating within the F&B sector through a reimbursement system. (ANT)
