Reference Price for Coal and Metal Mineral in February 2024 Has Been Determined

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources has recently issued Decree No. 29.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2024 of 2024 on the Reference Prices for Metal Minerals and Reference Prices for Coal for February 2024 ("Decree 29/2024").
As detailed under Appendix I to the Decree, the applicable Reference Prices for Metal Minerals (Harga Mineral Logam Acuan/HMA) have been stipulated for 20 types of metal mineral commodities, which shall be utilized as a reference in calculating Metal Mineral Benchmark Prices (Harga Patokan Mineral Logam/HPM) for February 2024, including: 1) Nickel (US$16.151,00/DMT); 2) Cobalt (US$28.696,25/DMT); 3) Lead (US$2.046,35/DMT); 4) Zinc (US$2.534,50 DMT); 5) Aluminum (US$2.214,28/DMT); and so forth.
Meanwhile, the applicable Reference Prices for Coal (Harga Batubara Acuan/HBA) have been stipulated for four types of coal commodities under Appendix II to the Decree, which shall be utilized as a reference in calculating Coal Benchmark Prices (Harga Patokan Batubara/HPB), including: 1) Coal (with 6,322 Gross As Received ["GAR"]): US$124,95/ton; 2) Coal I (with 5,300 GAR): US$87,65/ton; 3) Coal II (with 4,100 GAR): US$57,86/ton; and 4) Coal III (with 3,400 GAR): US$37,54/ton.
