KSEI Offers Fee Exemptions for Payment Agent Duty to Issuers of SCF-Issued Debt Securities and/or Sukuk During 2024

  • PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia ("KSEI") previously extended the granting of incentives to issuers of debt securities and/or sukuk ("Issuers") through securities crowdfunding ("SCF") through the issuance of Decree of the Board of Directors of KSEI No. KEP-0015/DIR/KSEI/0523 ("Decree 15/2023"). Now, KSEI has decided to offer a different set of incentives to Issuers in the form of fee exemptions to payment agent duty ("Duty Fees") through the issuance of Decree of the Board of Directors of KSEI No. KEP-0002/DIR/KSEI/0124 ("Decree 2/2024"), which will be applicable between 19 January 2024 and 31 December 2024. As a consequence, Decree 15/2023 has now been repealed and replaced.
  • Decree 2/2024 states that the above-described exemptions will be granted in relation to the various Duty Fees that are outlined under Rule of the KSEI No. IV-A on KSEI Service Fees ("Rule IV-A"), as the Appendix to Decree of the Board of Directors of KSEI No. KEP-0017/DIR/KSEI/0422 ("Decree 17/2022").
  • These exemptions will apply in relation to any payments of interest, profit-sharing revenues, incomes and/or other payments that derive from the ownership of SCF-issued debt securities and/or sukuk that are implemented during the following periods: 1) Completed between 1 January 2024 and 19 January 2024; and 2) Set to commence during the 2024 period.
