Govt. Consolidates 16 National Holidays under One Single Framework

In a bid to consolidate and harmonize previous regulatory frameworks that addressed the various national holidays ("Holidays") that are held in Indonesia, the government has now decided to issue Decree of the President No. 8 of 2024 on Holidays ("Decree 8/2024"), which has been in force since 29 January 2024. Consequent to the enforcement of Decree 8/2024, four Decrees of the President that previously outlined Holidays have now been repealed and replaced.
Under Decree 8/2024, a total of 16 Holidays have been set for this year, as follows:
