KPEI Introduces Four Forms of Service Fees for Clearing Services and Guarantees for Futures Contract Transaction Settlements

Following the granting of incentives for the adjustment of futures contract transaction fees by PT Bursa Efek Indonesia ("BEI"), as outlined under Decree of the BEI Board of Directors No. KEP-00327/BEI/12-2023 ("Decree 327/2023"), the Board of Directors of PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia ("KPEI") has decided to set various applicable service fees for clearing services and transaction settlement guarantees for futures contracts (collectively referred to as "Fees") through the issuance of Decree No. KEP-003/DIR/KPEI/0124 ("Decree 3/2024"), which will be applicable between 2 January 2024 and 28 June 2024.
Pursuant to the transaction fees that were previously outlined under Decree 327/2023, the framework of Decree 3/2024 has now set Fees that apply to clearing members and that break down as follows: 1) For futures contracts with multiplier values of over 500,000: Fee of Rp. 6,000 for each transacted contract; 2) For futures contracts with multiplier values of between Rp. 100,000 and Rp. 500,000: Fee of Rp. 3,000 for each transacted contract; 3) For futures contracts with multiplier values of between Rp. 10,000 and Rp. 100,000: Fee of Rp. 1,800 for each transacted contract; and 4) For futures contracts with multiplier values of equivalent or less than Rp. 10,000: Fee of Rp. 150 for each transacted contract.
It should be noted that the above-outlined Fees exempt clearing members that act as liquidity providers for futures contracts, who are obliged to fulfill input selling offers and purchasing requests for each futures contract.
