On 4 December 2023, Indonesia’s House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat – “DPR”) passed the Bill on the Second Amendment to Law No. 11 of 2018 on Electronic Information and Transactions (“Bill”), which was previously amended by Law No. 19 of 2016 (collectively referred to as the “ITE Law”). The Bill has now finally been passed after a total of 14 deliberation sessions that addressed its substance and that were held during the drafting process.[1]
