Minister of Manpower Stipulates Qualifications Levels for K3 Field

The Minister of Manpower recently introduced a set of Indonesian National Qualification Levels (Jenjang Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia – "Qualification Levels") that apply within the field of Occupational Health and Safety Standards (Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja – "K3") through the issuance of Regulation No. 233 of 2023 ("Regulation 233/2023"), which has been in force since 21 November 2023.
In essence, a total of seven subfields within the K3 field have now been stipulated under the Appendix to Regulation 233/2023, including the following: 1) Industrial hygiene; 2) K3 paramedic; 3) K3 personnel; 4) K3 construction; 5) K3 in confined spaces; 6) K3 in tall buildings; and 7) K3 for working at height.
Each of the above-mentioned subfields encompasses a comprehensive list of Qualification Levels (that range from Level 2 to Level 7), along with their corresponding codifications, descriptions, working practices, possible positions and competency units.
