Preparing Your Halal Certification: Deadline of 17 October 2024 for Food and Beverage Products

Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Guarantee  and its amendment (collectively referred to as “Law 33/2014”), as well as Regulation of the Government No. 39 of 2021 on the Organization of Halal Product Guarantees (“Regulation 39/2021”), mandate all goods and/or services related to foods, beverages, drugs, cosmetics, chemical products, biological products, and genetically engineered products (“Products”) that enter, circulate, and traded within Indonesian territory to be halal certified.[1] However, if said Products are non-halal,[2] they must be marked non-halal.[3]
