Overview

The trend of Environmental, Social and Good Governance (“ESG”)-related investment has been rapidly increasing at the global level. Within the Asian region alone, approximately 5,000 investors have demonstrated an interest in investing their funds in companies that uphold and implement ESG-based sustainability principles. On a wider scale, the global value of ESG investment has experienced a significant increase over the last eight years, attracting investors and companies who are looking to further explore the depth and breadth of ESG. Indeed, the total growth in the global value of ESG investment was recorded at 170.48% between 2014 and 2018 alone.[1]
