Overview

In late 2022, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (“Minister”) issued Circular No. 10.E/EK.05/DJE/2022 (“Circular 10/2022”) on the Phasing in of the Utilization of Biodiesel Fuel as a Part of Diesel Fuel Mixture under the Framework of Financing by the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit – “BPDPKS”). At its core, Circular 10/2022 sets out a schedule for the implementation of the mandatory program for the mixing of 35% biodiesel fuel into diesel fuel (“B35”).
