BEI Extends Transition Period for Imposition of Correction Fees Through PLTE System until 2 January 2024

The Board of Directors of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia ("BEI") has decided to adjust the applicable processes and fees for the correction of single investor identity numbers, as well as the reporting of securities transactions via the Receiving of Securities Transaction Reports (Penerima Laporan Transaksi Efek – "PLTE") system, through the issuance of Decree No. KEP-00103/BEI/07/2023 on the Reporting of Securities Transactions Through the Securities Transaction Report Recipient System ("Decree 103/2023"), which has been in force since 31 July 2023.
While details of the adjustment of securities transaction reporting via the PLTE system and its applicable fees are detailed under the Appendix to Decree 103/2023, the reporting period that is stipulated therein has yet to be enforced. Currently, all securities transaction reports may be submitted through the PLTE system on weekdays between 09.30 – 15.30 PLTE system time.
Previously, Decree of the Board of Directors of BEI No. Kep-00032/BEI/02-2023 ("Decree 32/2023") addressed the transition period for the imposition of correction fees for the reporting of securities transactions that involved single investor identity number data and the names of certain parties (e.g. seller/original owner and buyer/final owner). This transition period is set to expire on 30 September 2023. However, Decree 103/2023 has now extended the transition period until 2 January 2024.
In addition to the extension of the above transition period, Decree 103/2023 also states that correction fees for temporary single identity numbers, as detailed under the Appendix to Decree 103/2023, will come into effect on 2 January 2024.
It should also be noted that through the issuance of Decree 103/2023, several BEI frameworks that specifically address the PLTE system have been simultaneously revoked, including: 1) Decree of the Board of Directors of BEI No. KEP-00407/BEI/10-2009; 2) Decree of the Board of Directors of BEI No. KEP-00054/BEI/07-2021; and 3) Decree 32/2023.
