Indonesia Temporarily Suspends Free Visit Visas for Citizens of 159 Countries

In an effort to protect Indonesia from potential threats, dangers and disruption to state security and public health as a result of the availability of free visit visas, the Minister of Law and Human Rights ("Minister") has issued Decree No. M.HH-01.GR.01.07 of 2023 on the Temporary Suspension of Free Visit Visas for Countries, Governments of Special Administrative Regions of Countries and Certain Entities, which has been in force since 7 June 2023.
As a result, free visit visas for citizens of 159 countries, governments of special administrative regions of countries and certain entities have now been temporarily suspended. Said countries include the following: 1) South Africa; 2) Australia; 3) The Netherlands; 4) Canada; 5) Germany; 6) South Korea; 7) Nepal; 8) Palestine; 9) France; 10) Qatar; 11) Russia; 12) Spain; 13) Switzerland; 14) Uruguay; 15) Turkiye; and so forth.
