Regulation on Clearing and Settlement Guarantees for Debt Securities Transactions Repealed

PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia ("KPEI") recently issued Decree No. Kep-028/DIR/KPEI/0423 of 2023 ("Decree"), which repeals KPEI Regulation No. V-1 on Clearing and Settlement Guarantees for Debt Securities Transactions and Appendix to Decree of KPEI No. Kep-004/DIR/KPEI/0806. The Decree has been in force since 3 March 2023.
As a result of these repeals, whenever debt securities and sukuk are traded through systems that are provided by alternative market operators, then the clearing processes for said debt securities and sukuk trading should be implemented through the mechanism stipulated under KPEI Regulation No. V-2.
