Operational Limit for Goods Transportation to Commence on 17 April 2023

  • The government has issued a Joint Decree No KP-DRJD 2616 of 202, SKB/48/IV/2021, 05/PKS/Db/2023 on the Arrangement of Road Traffic and Crossing Transportation during the Homecoming and Backflow for Eid Al-Fitr 2023/1444 Hijriah ("Joint Decree 2023"). The Joint Decree 2023 was issued by the Director-General on Land Transportation under the Ministry of Transportation, Traffic Coordinator of the National Indonesian Police, and Director-General of Highways (Bina Marga) under the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing.
  • One of the traffic arrangements set out under the Joint Decree 2023 is the operational limitation of goods transportation. The operational restriction for goods transportation will be implemented at the toll and non-toll roads starting from Monday (17 April) at 16.00 Western Indonesian Time to Friday (21 April) at 24.00 Western Indonesian Time. Furthermore, the restriction will be put into place again on the following periods: 1) 24 April (00.00 Western Indonesian Time) to 26 April (08.00 Western Indonesian Time); and 2) 29 April (00.00 Western Indonesian Time) to 2 May (08.00 Western Indonesian Time).
  • The restriction will not be applicable for the transportation of oil-and-gas fuel, money transporting, livestock, and other primary needs (e.g. rice grain, flour, fruits and vegetables), provided that: 1) The transportation of these exempted goods must be equipped with the manifest to display the information on the types of transported goods, destination and the name and address of the goods’ owners; and 2) The said manifest must also be displayed on the bottom left front window of the car.
