Procedures for the Issuance of Port Clearances and Approvals for Vessel Activities at Ports Revised

In order to establish a uniform system for the issuance of port clearances and Letters of Approval for Vessel Activities (Surat Persetujuan Kegiatan Kapal – “SPKK”) to Indonesian-flagged vessels and foreign, non-fishing vessels at Indonesian ports,[1] the Minister of Transportation (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. PM 28 of 2022 on Procedures for the Issuance of Port Clearances and Approvals for Vessel Activities at Ports (“Regulation 28/2022”).[2] Regulation 28/2022 repeals and replaces[3] the previously applicable framework of Regulation of the Minister No. PM 82 of 2014 on Procedures for the Issuance of Port Clearances (“Regulation 82/2014”).[4]
