Draft Bill on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector

The House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat – “DPR”) recently approved the development of the Draft Bill on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (“Draft Bill”) as a DPR-initiative bill, which will be drawn up in the form of an omnibus law.[1] The Draft Bill itself is being aimed at the further development of Indonesia’s financial sector and will hopefully become the solid foundation upon which an inclusive, sustainable and fair national economy can be realized.[2]
