OJK Set to Update Provisions on the Utilization of Public Accountants in Relation to Financial Service Activities

In an attempt to improve the quality of the services provided by public accountants (“PA”) and public-accounting firms (“PAF”) to financial service institutions, the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan – “OJK”) is currently in the process of preparing a Draft Regulation on the Utilization of Services Offered by Public Accountants and Public Accountants’ Offices in Relation to Financial Service Activities (“Draft Regulation”), which at the time of its promulgation will replace the current framework of Regulation of the OJK No. 13/POJK.03/2017 (“Regulation 13/2017”), which bears the same title.[1]
