Overview

Continuing from the first part of this three-part edition of Indonesian Law Digest (“ILD”) on the Draft Bill on Civil Procedural Law (“Draft Bill”), which featured a comparison between provisions that address the pre-trial stage, the second part of this extended edition of ILD addresses matters that relate to the trial stage of civil-law cases. As the House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat – “DPR”) has yet to publish the most recent manuscript of the Draft Bill, this ILD will continue with its comparisons of provisions contained under the 2021-version of the Draft Bill and with other existing regulatory frameworks that relate to civil procedural law in Indonesia, including the following:[1]
