PPKM Outside Java - Bali: 27 Provinces Now Fall under Level-1 PPKM, Only One District Remains under Level-2 PPKM

In order to reextend the implementation of Enforced Community Activity Restrictions (Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat – "PPKM") across the regions of Sumatra, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua, the Minister of Home Affairs ("Minister") has issued Directive No. 30 of 2022 ("Directive 30/2022"), which will be enforced between 7 June 2022 and 4 July 2022.
Directive 30/2022 affirms that a total of 27 provinces now fall into the Level-1 PPKM category while only one district falls into the Level-2 PPKM category. This remaining district which is still enforcing Level-2 PPKM is Teluk Bintuni in the province of West Papua.
Despite being applicable across areas of Java - Bali, the activity restrictions set under Level-1 PPKM through Directive 30/2022 remain similar to those originally set through Directive of the Minister No. 29 0f 2022, which is the legal basis for the implementation of Level-1 PPKM throughout Java and Bali.
The list of activities restrictions that apply in relation to Level-1 PPKM can be accessed through the following edition of Daily Updates: “PPKM Updates: Non-Essential Sectors May Now Operate at 100% Employee Capacity in Areas under Level-1 PPKM.”
