Minister of Manpower Regulates Detailed SKKNI for Information and Communications Category

As originally mandated under Regulation of the Minister of Manpower ("Minister") No. 3 of 2016 on the Determination of Procedures for Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (Standar Kompetensi Kerja Nasional Indonesia – "SKKNI"), the Minister has issued Decree No. 24 of 2022 on the Determination of SKKNI for the Information and Communications Category of the Main Group for the Activities of Programming, Computer Consulting and Related Information Security Auditing Activities. Details of the SKKNI are comprehensively outlined under the Appendix to Decree 24/2022 ("Decree 24/2022").
In essence, SKKNI should be applied by various agencies/institutions in order to develop their human resources in accordance with their requirements, for instance: 1) For education and training institutions: to provide information on the development of programs and curricula, and as references in relation to the organization of training, assessment and certification); 2) For business/industries and users of manpower: to provide assistance during recruitment processes, to complete working assessments, to prepare job descriptions and to develop training programs; and 3) For organizers of examinations and certification processes: to provide references during the preparation and organization of certification programs.
Decree 24/2022 has been in force since 14 March 2022.
