Funds Carried into or out of Indonesian Customs-and-Excise Areas Required to Be Reported Through goAML App

In line with the mandate originally set under Regulation of the Government No. 99 of 2016 (“Regulation 99/2016”),[1] Regulation of Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (Pusat Pelaporan dan Analisis Transaksi Keuangan – “PPATK”) No. 1 of 2022 (“Regulation 1/2022”) has now been issued and contains provisions that elaborate upon the reporting of carriages of cash and/or other payment instruments into or out of Indonesian customs-and-excise areas by the Directorate-General of Customs and Excise (“Directorate-General”) to the PPATK, specifically through the goAML app.[2]
