Overview
The rapidly developing field of Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) undoubtedly offers many conveniences across all areas of human endeavor. In order to reflect this new and growing technology, the Indonesian Government introduced its National Strategy for the Development of AI for 2020 – 2045 (“National Strategy for AI”) back in 2020.[1] The National Strategy for AI sets out a blueprint for the development of AI across Indonesia during the 2020 – 2045 period. It is widely believed that developments in AI will ultimately prove groundbreaking in relation to a wide range of issues across various fields, including financing, healthcare and many other sectors of the economy. Ultimately, the introduction of the National Strategy for AI is aiming to create an independent, advanced and prosperous Indonesia by offering a shot at reform and the chance to become an innovation-driven country.[2]
