In light of the adjustments that continue to be made in relation to the ongoing challenges posed by the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (“COVID-19”) pandemic, Indonesia has tweaked a number of different legal frameworks that apply to various sectors as a part of efforts aimed at ensuring that businesses will be able to operate sustainably during the recovery phase of this prolonged public health crisis, which has undoubtedly affected their business activities in profound ways. The implementation of PPKM as a policy of restriction hopefully strikes a balance between preventing the spread of COVID-19 while enabling businesses operating across various sectors of the economy to operate sustainably.
