Minister of Finance Regulates Warehouse Receipts Subsidy Scheme

The Minister of Finance recently issued Regulation No. 187/PMK.05/2021 ("Regulation 187/2021") on the Warehouse Receipts Subsidy Scheme (skema subsidi resi gudang – "SSRG"). The SSRG aims to provide facilities in the form of credit or funding to the receivers of SSRG in order to ensure an adequate balance as regards the production of commodities. SSRG receivers encompass the following parties: 1) Farmers; and 2) Cooperatives.
Banks or non-bank financial institutions may become distributors of SSRG by complying with the following criteria: 1) Must be financially healthy and able to perform well; and 2) Must possess systems capable of connecting to and/or that are compatible with the SSRG management system. In order to become an SSRG distributor, a bank or non-bank financial institution should submit an application to the Ministry of Finance cq. the Director-General of the Treasury.
Regulation 187/2021 has been in force since 16 December 2021.
