Directorate-General of Tax to Launch Voluntary Disclosure Program App for Operational Commencement on 1 January 2022

The Directorate-General of Tax at the Ministry of Finance ("Ministry") is currently preparing to launch an app for voluntary disclosure program (program pengungkapan sukarela – “PPS”) at the end of 2021 so that the general public may utilize it on 1 January 2022.
Suryo Utomo, the Director-General of Tax at the Ministry, has recently stated that several tests are currently being taken prior to the official go-live of the app in question. The app is prepared as part of the PPS infrastructure, since the implementation of PPS will be carried out online.
Mr. Utomo went on to reveal that the Ministry is now drafting several regulations of the Minister of Finance concerning PPS. Besides, other implementing regulations mandated under the Law No. 7 of 2021 on Harmonization of Taxation Regulations ("Law 7/2021") are also now being arranged.
It should be noted that several programs regulated under Law 7/2021 have different enforcement dates as follows: 1) PPS (1 January 2022); 2) Policies on income tax (2022 tax year); 3) Amendment to tariffs of value-added tax (1 April 2022). _(ANT)
