IMEI Notification and Registration Procedures Updated

In order to further improve services and supervision in relation to the importation of telecommunications devices, the Director-General of Customs-and-Excise (“Director-General”) recently issued Regulation No. PER-13/BC/2021 (“Regulation 13/2021”), which updates procedures for the submission of notifications and the registration of the International Mobile Equipment Identity (“IMEI”) codes of telecommunications devices (“Devices”) in customs-and-excise declarations.[1] Said notifications and registrations are required so that telecommunications devices can be connected to a national mobile network.[2]
