BEI Adjusts Trading Times for Futures Contracts

The Board of Directors of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia ("BEI") has issued Decree No. Kep-00086/BEI/10-2021 on the Adjustment of the Trading Times for Futures Contracts Set under Regulation No. II-E on the Trading of Futures Contracts ("Decree 86/2021"). This decree simultaneously repeals and replaces Decree No. Kep-00110/BEI/12-2020 ("Decree 110/2020").
The trading times for futures contracts have now been adjusted as follows: 1) Monday – Thursday: (a) Session I = 08.45.00 - 12.00.00; (b) Session II = 13.30.00 - 16.15.00; and 2) Friday: (a) Session I = 08.45.00 - 11.30.00; (b) Session II = 14.00.00 - 16.15.00.
Previously the following trading times were set for Monday to Thursday: 1) Session I = 09.00 - 12.00; 2) Session II = 13.30 - 16.15. Meanwhile, the following trading times were previously set for Friday: 1) Session I = 09.00 - 11.30; and 2) Session II = 14.00 - 16.15.
Furthermore, Decree 86/2021 also stipulates that provisions that address transaction costs, as set out under Appendix IX to Decree 86/2021, will come into force on 2 January 2023.
Decree 86/2021 has been in force since 11 October 2021.
