- The Minister of Industry (“Minister”) recently issued Regulation No. 20 of 2021 on the Reporting of Strategic Industry for Which Production, Distribution and Base Prices Have Been Determined (“Regulation 20/2021”). This new regulation establishes a set of specific reporting procedures for strategic industries that have already had their production amounts, distribution amounts and base prices determined (“Strategic Industries”)
- All Strategic Industries are required to submit reports to the Minister that contain certain types of information (i.e. production plans and realization, raw material requirements and stock, distribution and product prices) on a six-monthly basis and/or whenever said reports are requested.
- The abovementioned reports should be submitted electronically through the SIINas portal and should cover periods in which production amounts, distribution amounts and basic prices have been determined. Any failure to comply with this reporting provision will render the relevant Strategic Industry liable to the imposition of certain sanctions.
- Regulation 20/2021 has been in force since 26 August 2021
