Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry No. 1 of 2021 on the Company Performance Ratings Assessment Program for Environmental Management

The Minister of Environment and Forestry is responsible for the evaluation and supervision of all persons in charge (PIC) of companies under the scope of environmental management through the organization of the Company Performance Ratings Assessment Program for Environmental Management (Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan dalam Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup – “Proper”).
Proper is to be organized in the following stages: 1) Planning (i.e. establishment of an executor for Proper); 2) Implementation (i.e. development, assessment and ratings); 3) Determination of ratings (which will be awarded based on the results of evaluations); and 4) Granting of awards (in the form of gold trophies and certificates for participants that achieve gold level ratings, green trophies and certificates for participants that achieve green level ratings and certificates for participants that achieve blue ratings), development (pembinaan) (which will be granted to participants that achieve red ratings or participants whose ratings determinations are suspended) and efforts at law enforcement (which will be granted to participants that achieve red and black ratings).
This regulation has been in force since 2 February 2021 and can be accessed here.
