Handling of Base Ash and Fly Ash from Thermal Waste Processing Regulated

Given that both base ash and fly ash resulting from the thermal processing of solid waste (sampah) has the potential to have a significant impact upon the health of the general public, as well as on the environment, the Minister of Environment and Forestry (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. P.26/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/12/2020 on the Handling of Base Ash and Fly Ash Resulting from the Thermal Processing of Solid Waste (“Regulation 26/2020”) in order to establish a set of guidelines for the handling of base ash and fly ash.[1]
