Management of Polychlorinated Biphenyls Regulated

As a part of efforts to phase out Polychlorinated Biphenyls (“PCBs”) by 2028 in accordance with provisions set out under the Stockholm Convention[1] and in order to ensure legal certainty as regards the elimination of PCBs, as addressed under Law No. 32 of 2009 on Environmental Protection and Management,[2] the Minister of Environment and Forestry (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. P.29/MENLHK/SETJEN/PLB.3/2020 on the Management of Polychlorinated Biphenyls (“Regulation 29/2020”).
