Regulation of the Government No. 101 of 2014 on the Management of Hazardous and Toxic Waste (“Regulation 101/2014”) mandates that all parties producing Hazardous and Toxic Waste (Limbah Bahan Berbahaya dan Beracun – “B3 Waste”) must possess licenses for the storage of B3 Waste.[1]
In an effort to further emphasize this requirement, the Minister of Environment and Forestry (“Minister”) has finally issued Regulation No. P.12/MENLHK/SETJEN/PLB.3/5/2020 on the Storage of Hazardous and Toxic Waste (“Regulation 12/2020”), which specifically addresses preparations for and the implementation of B3 waste storage.[2]
