Strict Health Protocols Implemented as DKI Jakarta Enters PSBB Transition Phase

The Special Capital City of Jakarta (“DKI Jakarta”) recently began implementing a transition period which will gradually roll back the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar/PSBB) that have been in place during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. As a consequence, a number of restrictions which have been in place under the PSBB regime and which obliged to the general public to implement various health protocols have now been relaxed.[1]

However, in order to maintain the health of the general public as they begin to reengage with their daily activities during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (“COVID-19”) pandemic,[2] the Governor of DKI Jakarta (“Governor”) has issued Regulation No. 51 of 2020 on the Implementation of Large Scale Social Restrictions during the Transition Period to a Healthy, Safe and Productive Public (“Regulation 51/2020”).
