Govt. Re-Regulates Provisions on Mudik Prohibition

In an effort to prevent the spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (“COVID-19”), as well to implement government policy within the transportation sector,[1] the Minister of Transportation (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. PM 25 of 2020 on Transportation Control during the Eid al-Fitr Annual Exodus Period for the Year 1441 Hijriah to Prevent the Spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) (“Regulation 25/2020”), which temporarily bans the use of mass transportation during the Eid al-Fitr annual exodus (“Mudik”) period.[2]
