DPR Plans to Accommodate Labor Interests in Draft Bill on Job Creation

Deputy Speaker at the House of Representatives (“DPR”), Sufmi Dasco, has just announced that the Draft Omnibus Bill on Job Creation (“Draft Bill”) would seek to accommodate the interests of both business and labor on an equal footing.
According to Mr. Dasco, the DPR has yet to officially receive the academic script of the Draft Bill from the government. This means that the DPR is not yet fully competent to make any assessments of any of the provisions which are set out under the Draft Bill.
Mr. Dasco is planning to establish a labor team that will coordinate directly with both Commission IX and with the DPR’s legislative body.(ANT)
