Govt. Broadens Forms of Regional Investment Incentives and Facilities

The government recently issued Regulation No. 24 of 2019 on the Granting of Investment Incentives and Facilities in Regional Areas (“Regulation 24/2019”) in a bid to increase investment and development across Indonesia’s various regions.[1]

Prior to the issuance of Regulation 24/2019, matters pertaining the granting of regional investment incentives and facilities were previously addressed under Regulation of the Government No. 45 of 2008 on Guidelines for the Granting of Investment Incentives and Facilities in Regional Areas (“Regulation 45/2008”), which now has been repealed and replaced by Regulation 24/2019.[2]
