KIP Launched an Electronic Dispute Settlement Information Management called SIMSI 2.0

The Central Information Commission (Komisi Informasi Pusat – “KIP”) had just launched SIMSI 2.0, a web-based application enabling the public to electronically file a public information dispute settlement application (“Application”). Asides from filing an Application, SIMSI 2.0 is also expected to accommodate the following features: 1) Easy access for downloading minutes of proceedings and decisions; 2) Information on the classification of decisions based on stage of proceedings, regions and the merits of the disputes; and 3) Tracking the progress of the Application.
With the launching of SIMSI 2.0, KIP had high hopes for this technology investment to bring easy access for the public and improve the overall information dispute settlement process. However, human error is one of the key aspects which must be carefully monitored by the KIP, especially during the operation and maintenance of SIMSI 2.0.
