Govt. Redefines Environmental Health Provisions for Hospitals

The Minister of Health (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 7 of 2019 on Hospital Environmental Health (“Regulation 7/2019”) in an attempt to:[1]

Create healthy environments in and around hospitals;
Protect workers, patients and local communities located in and around hospitals from environmental risks; and
Establish environmentally friendly hospitals.

With these goals in mind, Regulation 7/2019 sets out a number of provisions which address the following specific matters:
