New Provisions for the Security of Supply Chains for Air-Freight Cargo and Post Consignments

To tighten up national air-transportation security,[1] the Ministry of Transportation (“Ministry”) has issued Regulation No. PM 53 of 2017 on the Security of Supply Chains for Air-Freight Cargo and Post Consignments (“Regulation 53/2017”), which replaces the following two regulations (collectively referred to as “Previous Regulations”):

1.	Ministry Regulation No. PM 153 of 2015 (“Regulation 153/2015”), which addressed the same matters; and
2.	Ministry Regulation No. PM 45 of 2015 on Capital Requirements for Transportation Companies (“Regulation 45/2015”),[2] specifically the provisions which relate to the capital ownership of regulated agents and known consignors.
