House Passes Bill on Architects

In a bid to offer greater legal certainty regarding the profession of architecture, the House of Representatives (“House”) finally passed the Bill on Architects (“Bill”) on 11 July 2017.[1]

The Bill addresses a broad area of topics pertaining to the architectural profession, and these are incorporated under 45 articles. This edition of Indonesian Legal Brief will limit its discussions to the following areas:

1.	Scope of Architects’ Services;
2.	Registrations and Licenses;
3.	Foreign Architects;
4.	Rights and Obligations of Architects; and
5.	Rights and Obligations of Architects’ Service Users.
