Export of Forestry Products Revitalized

Minister of Trade has issued Regulation No. 64/M-DAG/PER/10/2012 on Provisions on Export of Forestry Industry Products (“Regulation”). It serves to boost forestry products export and eradicate the trade of illegal forestry products. The Regulation is also a follow up to the European Union’s and Indonesia’s FLEGT Voluntary Partnership Agreement, which arose after the EU banned imports of timber and timber related products that originate in Indonesia.
