Legal Framework on Thematic Geospatial Information for Land and Space Introduced

The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 1 of 2023 on the Organization of Land and Space Thematic Geospatial Information (“Regulation 1/2023”) in an attempt to provide various provisions that address the organization of Thematic Geospatial Information (Informasi Geospasial Tematik – “IGT”), which requires the management of IGT through land and space (“Land and Space IGT”) information system services that include database and information systems in line with certain standards. [1] This new Regulation has been in force since 20 January 2023.
