Govt. Prepares Draft Regulation of the President on Legal Compliance

The government is officially engaged in discussions relating to the drafting of a new Regulation of the President on Legal Compliance, the Establishment of Laws and Regulations and Legal Enforcement ("Draft Regulation"). Said discussions involve input from various stakeholders.
The Head of the National Law Development Agency (Badan Pembinaan Hukum Nasional – "BPHN") at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Arfan Faiz Muhlizi ("Head"), has highlighted three main points that relate to the drafting of the new Draft Regulation, specifically: 1) Regulation of efforts aimed at fostering and ensuring that pillars of the legal system work optimally in order to realize national goals through increased legal awareness and compliance regarding the formulation of Laws and Regulations, as well as their legal enforcement; 2) Increasing awareness and legal compliance should represent a part of the government’s responsibilities; 3) Regulation of efforts and methods aimed at increasing integrated awareness and legal enforcement.
